Ensar Eminovic, Director, Strategic Research Association
Ensar Eminovic is a political analyst and international business consultant. He is the Director of STRATIS. In the period 2008 – 2011, he served as Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Malaysia and non-resident Ambassador to Thailand and Brunei Darussalam. Previously, he worked for several international organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the Office of the High Representative (OHR). Born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and educated in Malaysia, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science (Hons) and a specialization in International Relations from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He has also completed a 3-year interdisciplinary postgraduate program in European Studies and earned a master’s degree in European Studies (University of Sarajevo / University of Bologna / London School of Economics and Political Science/ University of Essex).
Esref Kenan Rasidagic, Chief Advisor / Research Coordinator
Dr. Ešref Kenan Rašidagić is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo and Head of Department of International Relations and European Studies, International Burch University. Received Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the International Islamic University in Malaysia, and Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies with concentration on Conflict Resolution Studies from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Defended his PhD thesis in Political Science at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Sarajevo. Dr. Rašidagić is teaching subjects related to International Relations, Comparative Politics, Diplomacy, European Studies, Media and Politics, and Conflict Resolution. Over the years he has been engaged in various NGOs as an activist and organizer of various public and humanitarian activities. Dr. Rašidagić is also active as independent consultant in fields related to social affairs, children and youth, and education. Author of several books, articles, essays and studies on various topics, and contributor to a number of international conferences and seminars. Appears frequently in the media as political analyst and commentator on current political, security, and social affairs in the Balkans and the Middle East. His fields of research interest include political Islam, social policy, interaction between international and local actors in interventions, and the role of new media in socialization and mobilization of youth in transitional societies.
Muhamed Jusic, Research Associate
Muhamed Jusić is Bosnian analyst on Islam, Balkan and Middle East, Columnist for Al-Jazeera Balkans, associate in Center for Advanced Studies in Sarajevo, Coordinator in network of researchers on Islam in SEE (ISEEF- Islam in South East Europe Forum), member of Complaints Commission of the Press Council in B&H- Member of the Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe – AIPCE. He has a degree in Islamic Theology from the Department of Apologetics of the Islamic University in Medina, Saudi Arabia. He is a columnist for the Islamic newsletter Preporod, and correspondent on foreigner affairs for Sarajevo based magazine Start. He publishes articles in the newsletters of the Islamic Community Riyasat “Takvim” and “Novi muallim” and “ Democracy and Security in Southeastern Europe” published by Atlantic Initiative ,as well as in other magazines in Bosnia and Herzegovina and region (such as Dnevni Avaz, Oslobođenje- Sarajevo, Danas- Belgrade, H-alter- Zagreb) He has translated and published a series of short works and books.
Emir Hadzikadunic, Research Associate
Emir Hadzikadunic completed interdisciplinary postgraduate program in Human Rights and Democracy at the University of Sarajevo / University of Bologna in 2002., undergraduate program in Communications at the IIUM in Kuala Lumpur in 1997. Obtained additional academic training at College of Europe Bruges, Belgium; San Pablo CEU University Madrid, Spain; Danish School of Public Administration Copenhagen, Denmark; and Diplomatic Academy Dubrovnik, Croatia. Currently PhD candidate at the International University of Sarajevo (2013-2016). Published two books: Zašto Iran (in English: Why Iran), by the Center for Advanced Studies, Sarajevo in 2013 and Od Dejtona do Brisela (in English: From Dayton to Brussels), by the Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies, Sarajevo in 2005. Additionally published chapter in books, academic journal articles and media outlets on Middle East, Political Culture in B&H and European Integration. Lectured at the International University of Sarajevo, Media Plan institute, London School of Public Relations / implemented by SPEM Komunikacijskas kupina from Maribor and Multilateral Academy. Served as Ambassador of B&H to IR of Iran from 2010-2013. Currently working as the Secretary General at the International University of Sarajevo.
